Blue line

The new product families which compose the Blue Line are:

• Genesi Mega-Ring - GEST
• Genesi Power Bar - GP
• Genesi Spot - GS
• Genesi Backlight - GB
• Genesi Flat Dome - GF

This line of products resulted from the union of different features, some of which have been identified internally while others have been designed on request.
Genesi has been able to develop a standard by giving the entire family the same features and possibilities for configuration and customisation to simplify the testing, selection and use of each product.

The main features are:

• simple connection: M12, 5 pole connector for all the products of the line
• maximum light power for all the driving modes
• fast turning on that allows to have pulses of a few micro-seconds
• internal integrated controller that enables:
• several driving modes without the need of an external controller: continuous, semi-continuous and strobe use with PNP or NPN triggers and analog regulation
• monitoring of the pulse duration and the maximum temperature
• presence of a status led to check the operating status of the light through different colours.

IMPORTANT Other features and potential set up:

• Selection among 18 wavelengths, from the ultraviolet to the white, coloured and infrared leds including the SWIR ones;
• 10 , 30 , 60 or 90 lenses;
• transparent, satin or opaline covers;
• additional covers with polarizing films;
• Compatible with our ABS606 Controller to realise more advanced sequences of control and synchronization (more illuminators, synchronization with cameras, different turning on times, etc )

Blue Line Product Families and Applications:

Genesi Mega-Ring - GEST

Ideal for applications with colour or monochrome matrix cameras, but even IR/UV/SWIR. All configuration possibilities range from pick and place applications on robots, high-speed line inspection of individual products, OCR character reading and much more.

Genesi Power Bar - GP

They can be used on their own for linear or matrix cameras applications, obtaining a very fine and powerful line of illumination. They can be used in combination to achieve uniform illumination of objects with complex geometry or not necessarily circular in shape. It is also possible to position them at grazing angles to the inspection object to achieve dark field illumination to highlight surface details of planar objects.

Genesi Spot - GS

They allow the realisation of applications with light directed not necessarily on axis with the camera but at variable angles, to highlight details of the inspection object or to avoid certain reflections. More than one can be used to capture images with light coming from different directions and exploit algorithms (such as stereo photometry) that reconstruct the curvature of the framed object.

Genesi Backlight - GB

Perfect for pick and place applications of objects thanks to the detection of their positions. There is also the possibility of using them in combination with telecentric lenses thanks to the collimated light option in case the application requires metrology. They can also be used to analyse transparent or semi-transparent objects and detect contents or defects.

Genesi Flat Dome - GF

Suitable for applications where uniform light is needed over larger or smaller areas, e.g. if you want to illuminate an object uniformly and have the guarantee that the illumination power is the same at all points of the object for colour control or e.g. for product verification for comparison.
